May 28, Part Jen
May 28thThe other night Rob got the munchies and cleared out the smattering of snackies we bought when we first moved in to the apartment. I think these were mushroom flavored corn sticks, but maybe they were magic muchrooom sticks.
It's Sunday so we can not visit Junior today. Instead we decided to head out to the country with our translator and her 2 fearless sisters, along with Baheet. We drove about 3 hours north, at least i think it was 3 hours because I slept most of the way since we woke up 4 hours earlier than normal. The place was like a state park, spelled phonetically Bar-Oh-Vohy. I am sure Rob will correct my spelling and historic information. There were a couple small lakes and one really big lake with lots of rocks and mountains. We took lots of pictures, but since our laptop angered the Voltage Gods we can no longer upload pictures from the camera. Once Rob leaves I'll spend some time in the internet cafe and upload pictures. Anyways, we had a nice day in the country hugging trees to gain energy (their idea, not ours). Rob fished from the big rock in the middle of the lake with one of the sisters, while the other sister made me climb to the rob of the rocks. I left a little skin, and pride, on the rocks of Kazakhstan, and realized that my 36 year old body can not climb like someone in their young 20's.
Tonight we need to get our photos ready for court tomorrow and practice our court statement.
We gave up on any hopes of Rob leaving Monday night after court because Lufthansa does not have customer service in their operatins manual. When they say "we'll call you later today" that means "you're not German and we are so we care only about the World Cup right now". After we get through court we'll see what we can do with United about Rob maybe coming home Thursday. Hopefully my exit will be a little smoother with Rob stateside to fix the flights.
For those trying to figure out the name, we'll let you swing for another day.

Good luck in court. Tomorrow you will officially be parents. Sort of blows your mind huh? We'll be sending good thoughts your way.
All our best,
Alli & Pat
Tomorrow is the big day! As we chow down on our American hambugers and pile in the macaroni salad, Eric and I will think of you and how your little one will soon join in the traditional festivities of the American way. Good Luck tomorrow and can't wait to have all 3 of you home!
