Photo Day

Today and tomorrow are holidays, so we can not visit junior. Needless to say our days will be boring. I think I am getting a sinus infection, so I slept in and took some antibiotics we brought with us.
We took a walk in the morning to the internet cafe, which was closed. So we walked to the farther one, which was open...obviously because I am posting this.
This is where we go each morning. It a pretty nice orphange...and tons of buldings here are painted yellow
. I don't kno if we are allowed to post pictures from inside. This is the orphanage playground. The other day we watched them put in the yellow slide thing to the left of the picture. Hoepfully next week we can take junior out to the playground and walk around. It will be a nice change from the inside rooms which are about 100 degrees. The weather here has been like early spring in PA....either 40 degrees of 70 degrees. We are moving towards the 70 degree part....luckily we have AC in the apartment if he get hot.

This is the entrance to the orphange on the far left. We thought the picture of the tricycles was pretty funny. Get ready for Toddler Bike Rodeo!

This is the view outside of one of the visitation rooms in the orphanage. Not much to look at, btu junior does like to look around. We are not sure what the bus is used for, but it's very typical of busses we see on the streets.
Here are some photos of the parade yesterday.
It's quite ironic that the old fashion warrier and horses have a backdrop of hot models (Rob's take on it) and internet addresses.
Here's some gas prices, we thought it would be way cheaper here, the price is shown in Tenge (about 125 or 122 tenge to the dollar) and in liters. The prics is not to different than home.
Here's a picture of some heating pipes that run along the ground throughout the city. When they need to cross the road they go over the road. You'll notice that many of my pictures have a little doggie hanging from a rear view mirror
since I take them out of our van. I'll try to get a picture of our stylin' Vanagon, aka VW Caravelle, and our driver.
This is a typical apartment building going up. Again, you'll notice a bluish tint to all the pictures because the van windows are tinted.
Rob was quite excited about the power transmission lines.

Can you send us the complete address of your apartment? Any special mailing instructions? Is English OK? My Russian stinks! Have fun with Junior....Luv, Dad
